Ahtisa Manalo Recalls Nawat Itsaragrisil's Playful Teasing During Miss Universe 2025
In a recent interview, Ahtisa Manalo shared a lighthearted anecdote about her interaction with Nawat Itsaragrisil, the national director of Miss Universe Thailand, during the Miss Universe 2025 pageant.
On the show 'Fast Talk With Boy Abunda', Ahtisa recalled a viral video where Nawat approached her on stage, engaging in playful banter. The video shows them exchanging words, laughing, and high-fiving. Ahtisa humorously recounted, 'I congratulated him, saying it was one of the best stages and productions I've ever been part of. It's all because of him.'
She continued, 'I then suggested we could work together in the future, to which he jokingly replied, 'Miss Grand?' I laughed and said, 'No, thank you.''
It's worth noting that Nawat is also the owner of the Miss Grand International pageant.
Despite her playful tone, Ahtisa's comments come after she expressed her intention to step away from pageantry following her Miss Universe journey. Additionally, the interview touched on Nawat's involvement in controversies surrounding the Miss Universe 2025 pageant, with Ahtisa defending him, stating, 'Of all my one-on-one interactions with him, he's a kind person. He's very proper.'
Ahtisa's performance at the pageant culminated in her being named the third runner-up, with Mexico's Fatima Bosch being crowned the winner.
