airBaltic's Summer 2026 Expansion: More Flights, More Destinations! (2026)

Get ready for more travel options across the Baltics! Latvian airline airBaltic is making a bold move to enhance connectivity in the region for the Summer 2026 season.

In a significant expansion, airBaltic will increase flight frequencies on a whopping 30+ existing routes. This includes 20 routes from Riga, Latvia, providing travelers with more options to explore Europe and beyond. But that's not all—they're also boosting flights from Tallinn, Estonia (4 routes), and Vilnius, Lithuania (7 routes).

Here's the exciting part: this expansion is all about the passengers. Mantas Vrubliauskas, VP Network Management, explains, "We're committed to meeting our customers' travel demands." By increasing frequencies, airBaltic aims to offer convenience and flexibility, especially for those traveling for business or leisure.

And this is where it gets interesting. The airline is strategically targeting popular routes, such as Riga–Tallinn, which will now have 35 weekly flights, and Riga–Berlin, increasing to 10 weekly flights. But the question arises, will this lead to increased competition with other regional airlines?

Here's a glimpse of the expanded flight schedule:

| Destination | Flight Frequency Increase |
| --- | --- |
| Riga–Tallinn (Estonia) | From 32 to 35 weekly |
| Riga–Berlin (Germany) | From 9 to 10 weekly |
| ... | ... |
| Vilnius–Nice (France) | From 1 to 2 weekly |
| Vilnius–Palma de Mallorca (Spain) | From 1 to 2 weekly |

But airBaltic isn't stopping there. They're also launching ten new routes from the Baltic capitals for the summer, including exotic destinations like Antalya, Turkey, and Gothenburg, Sweden. And for those who love a good comeback story, airBaltic is resuming four routes, including Riga to Aberdeen and Belgrade.

This expansion will significantly boost seat capacity, with Riga seeing a 12% increase, Tallinn 11%, and Lithuania a remarkable 21%.

So, what do you think about airBaltic's expansion plans? Are these increased frequencies a game-changer for Baltic travelers? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
