The fire was eventually extinguished, but the aftermath revealed a grim scene. The Central Jakarta Police, led by Sr. Comr. Susatyo Purnomo Condro, confirmed the death of at least 20 people and continued search and rescue efforts to find more possible victims. The Jakarta Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) head, Isnawa Adji, stated that the cause of the fire is still under investigation, with Tempo reporting that at least 28 fire trucks and 101 personnel were deployed to combat the blaze.
