As the cultural landscape of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, continues to evolve at a rapid pace, the seventh edition of the Tuwaiq Sculpture Symposium and Exhibition is set to make a bold statement. From February 9 to 22, 2026, the city's skyline will be punctuated with 25 large-scale artworks, transforming a once-industrial site into a vibrant urban installation. This exhibition, organized by Riyadh Art under the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, serves as a cultural bridge between local heritage and global artistic perspectives.
A Catalyst for Urban Renewal
The theme 'Traces of What Will Be' for the 2026 edition brings together artists from 18 different countries, showcasing their unique interpretations of the city's ongoing renewal. The public art exhibition, occupying Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Street (Al Tahlia), invites residents and visitors to witness the creation of these artworks in a live setting. Raw, locally sourced stone and reclaimed metal are transformed into finished forms, emphasizing a material intelligence that directly reflects the city's evolving identity.
